The item for sale is a 1973 Notre Dame National Champions autograph full size football. Notre Dame was declared the AP National Champions after defeating Alabama in the Sugar Bowl by a score of 24-23. The UPI Coach's poll voted before the Bowl games and Notre Dame was 4th in that poll but obviously after defeating Alabama, Notre Dame was clearly the true National Champions of 1973.
This football contains over 100 autographs from that team featuring stars Dave Casper and Ross Browner as well as head coach Ara Paraseghian.
You will be hard pressed to find a nicer or more complete 1973 Notre Dame National Championship autographed football. It comes with an auction house LOA from JSA for authenticity purposes with the autos rated 7-9. Parseghian is a little lighter that most of the others but is still very legible.
The football itself is in very nice condition and retains a nice shape and can be fully inflated but it has a slow valve leak and will not hold full air for an extended time. The valve could possibly be repaired but it is being sold as is in this listing. It still displays beautifully and again can be re-inflated as necessary when air leaks.
