Antique Vintage Asian Folding Hand Fan

Antique/Vintage Asian Folding Hand Fan.  The guards to this fan appear to be wood covered in paper that have a leafy vine pattern.  The Pivot has been covered in the paper as well.  The fan leaf has a silver floral design that shines when lights hits it.  I can't tell what the fan part is made of - it feels like paper but it has a very tiny woven look to it and at the tears it frays like cloth would but I don't know anything about fans so I'm clueless on this part.    The ends of the guards have metal caps that latch together.  One of the caps has PAT'D  stamped on it.  Some of the threading at the bottom of the fan is loose but is still sits beautifully on a stand.    Folded the fan is 9" long.
