Dwarf Stage Actor Master Gabriel Weigel Played Buster Brown Vintage Postcard

Here we have a vintage postcard of vaudevillian stage actor, Master Gabriel. Born Gabriel Weigel, the actor was a dwarf and became most famous for playing Buster Brown. He had previously played Vaudeville with his partner, Al Lamar, and was once under contract to Oscar Hammerstein. It was claimed by the actor that he never paid a railway fare, having easily fooled the agents into believing he was a child. A great image, this remains in good overall condition with diagonal, creasing near the top right corner as well as soft diagonal marks near the remaining 3 corners from album storage. There is also a small stain at his left hand which the scans will show. This measures an approximate 3-1/2" x 5-1/2".
