Mei Lanfang Commemorative Chinese Folding Fan

Description

In recognition of the 110th anniversary of Mei Lanfang's birth, this beautiful paper fan was created.  It is decorated with brush painting, calligraphy, and scenes from the opera artist's most famous performances. The fan was released in 2004 in limited, but unknown numbers.  It is still in the original red velvet-lined box and ready for display
The frame is dark bamboo with brass hardware. The fan is in good condition with no damage and minimal signs of age/wear.  It measures 13" x 23" when fully open.  Thought to be rare, as I haven't located any other fans like this on the market, while the commemorative stamps appear to still be in circulation
