Condition: For auction is a rare mid 20th century (1940's-60's) outdoor playground or storefront riding toy. It is none other than Dumbo the Baby Elephant . These kinds of outdoor children's rides were manufactured in various animal and cartoon like characters and were used in playgrounds and were cemented into the ground. Very good quality metal spring type base with a fiberglass looking body. These items were used to keep children occupied when parents went shopping in storefronts while another family member entertained the child outside. Dumbo measures 23" wide by 36" high by 30" long and weighs approx. 34 pounds. All "original", structurally sound. When cemented in the ground safely the child would bounce up and down. Shows normal age wear, nothing broken light surface rusting present on metal. Great item for the back yard area. Please view all photos. Free local pickup only!
